Project Overview: Scope and Objectives
Aim: to promote RES and to achieve their cost-effective incorporation into the
energy mix of Mediterranean countries by using optimum smart net metering.
Objectives:
• To promote initiatives for cost-efficient PV adoption and use without need for FIT
• To handle PV energy generation through smart management of supply & demand
• To achieve flow of know-how stemming from the pilot installations 
(i) improve knowledge and competences on technical aspects and public
administration for adoption of PV
(ii) help shape future smart energy management systems in the long term
• To strengthen public policy and strategy for PV adoption  smart grid & cities
