Who Is Lisa Bellamy?

The Arlington, VA native began her formal training at the prestigious Duke
Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., where she enriched her gift
for song with a classical foundational technique that supports her love for the
soulful roots of jazz, R&B, gospel and neo-soul. A graduate of
Shenandoah Conservatory of Music, Lisa infuses classical,
gospel and jazz into her music and is a diverse sound and
culture for any listener.

THE REFRESHING JOURNEY of “Nothin But the Spirit” will take you from
spirit filled and soul stirring melodies to jazzy transitions that communicate the
highs and lows of life’s lessons with heartfelt & transparent delivery. This release
will satisfy all of Lisa’s devoted listeners and guarantee new ones, especially with
the duet “Last Day” with the outstanding vocal talents of Tony Terry. Lisa’s
message comes from a great combination of powerful rhythmic presentations of
gospel, soul and jazz. In a recent interview, Lisa expresses her passion and the
vision for her music.

BEYOND THE MUSIC, Lisa uses her teaching, acting, and love for
entertainment to be an influential role model in the community. She is extremely
passionate about reaching the youth especially young women who are struggling to
find their way in life. Specifically, her journey has led her to administer seminars to
both men and women inside of correctional facilities, in addition to being the “guest
speaker” at several women conferences, ministries and seminars along the East
Coast. Lisa and her husband “William Fluker”, are founders of the Nspyre Youth
Orchestra which provides orchestral training to inner city youth. “We seek to
Nspyre and change lives”, says Lisa and William.
“I consider myself to be a conduit and would like to
touch lives using every gift God has given me.”

Lisa recently relocated to the New England area, North Haven, CT and is offering
vocal coaching, vocal strengthening, studio preparation, articulation through a
WHOLE BODY singing training technique. Lisa explores breathing, pitch control,
use of the entire body and muscle to affect tone, pitch and volume while singing.
Lisa had performed with Edwin Hawkins, “Oh Happy Day”, Jeff Majors, World
renowned harpist and has appeared on BET Diva Search. Lisa has toured
internationally in Paris & Leon, France with the amazing “Liz McComb” and has
formal classical training from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music. Lisa is a
practicing vocal artist with a gift to apply technique to any genre of music, i.e.,

IN HER MUSIC and in her personal message, Lisa tells a great story of happiness,
hurt, challenges and victories. She has worshipped with renowned musicians that
are also drawn in by her amazing spirit and musical gift. “Lisa’s voice is one of
angelic resonance that needs to be heard around the world,” reveals gospel legend
and four-time Grammy winner Edwin Hawkins, who Lisa has performed with in
Europe with Liz McComb.

anointed – not just blessed – to sing. Lisa Bellamy is one of the few. We thank God
that she and her music are in our lives,” says Cathy Hughes, founder and
chairperson of Radio One, Inc., and TV One and Jeff Majors, renowned harpist
