JAVIER ÁLVAREZ-MON is Associate Professor in Near Eastern Archaeology and
Art at the Macquarie University, Sydney (Australia). He is one of the few
scholars having dealt extensively with Elamite art history and archaeology. He is
also known for the study of the Neo-Elamite Arjan tomb, published in the series
Acta Iranica.
YASMINA WICKS is a PhD student of the University of Sydney,
currently working on a thesis on Neo-Elamite funerary practices.
The class is organized in the framework of the National Research Project
“Sedi del potere, comunicazione politica e società nell’Iran achemenide” (PRIN 2009JHSEE7)
directed by prof. Adriano V. Rossi.
