ELVIO SONNINO

Elvio Sonnino was awarded a degree in economics and commerce from the Università degli Studi in
Bologna specialising in business management.
He occupied a position as a senior manager at Andersen Consulting from 1985 until 1995. In 1996 and
1997 he was a manager of various units in the Organisation and IT Systems Area at Banco Ambrosiano
Veneto S.p.A. He was Manager of the Organisation and IT Systems Department at Cassa di Risparmio
di Firenze S.p.A. from 1997 until 2000.
In 2000 he joined the Banca Lombarda Group, which is now UBI Banca. Here he occupied positions of
increasing responsibility: Manager of the Systems and Services Unit at Banca Lombarda S.p.A.,
General Manager and subsequently Deputy Chairman of Lombarda Sistemi e Servizi S.p.A., Manager
of the Human Resources Department and Deputy General Manager of Banca Lombarda (and
subsequently of UBI Banca S.c.p.A.) with responsibility for co-ordinating and supervising the Group
Human Resources Area, Information Technology and Group Operating Costs.
He was the Chief Executive Officer of UBI Sistemi e Servizi from October 2007 until August 2009.
In September 2009 he was appointed Joint General Manager of Banco di Brescia and then General
Manager from April 2010 until January 2012.
He has been Senior Deputy General Manager of UBI Banca since May 2012. He is also a Director of
UBI Banca International, UBI Sistemi e Servizi and UBI Academy.
He has been a Member of the Management Board of UBI Banca since April 2013.
