The Crime Victims’ Memorial Quilt was established in 1994 by the Fresno County Probation Department Crime Victim Assistance Center. This is now an annual event during National Victims’ Rights Week for Fresno County. The Memorial Quilt concept has also been adopted by other counties in California. To date, 384 squares have been pieced together in a series of memorial quilts representing those victims who were lost to violent crime in Fresno County. .
