The boundaries of the proposed district include portions of the Towns Merrimac, Prairie du Sac, and Sumpter. Property owners in the proposed district will be provided this notice by certified mail. The sanitary district petition allows for the town to consider whether or not to form a sanitary district for the purpose of negotiating a proposed municipal water system with the United States Army, and to work with the Wisconsin Public Service Commission to determine whether or not the Army’s proposal is feasible.
