Hampshire Active Recovery Community What is Hampshire Active Recovery Community? • Peer-led recovery community • Developed in 2013/14 • Members in recovery from substance misuse and alcohol problems • Currently a constituted Community Group • Working towards independent charitable status Four ‘Arms’ Our Overall Aim • Help people on their recovery journey • Be visible role models for recovery • Show that recovery is both attractive and achievable • Provide a seamless transition from treatment services into recovery Our Mission Statement To empower an all-inclusive Recovery Community. Offering help, support and guidance for those wishing to develop and progress in life long Recovery. Defeating addiction and contributing to our communities through individual effort and mutual support. Affecting change, breaking down prejudice and stigma, and showing that Recovery is possible by offering activities, support and a voice throughout Hampshire.
