Year 5 Diary Writing – Sample Answer
Date: 10 July 2026
Day: Friday
Dear Diary,
Today was one of the most exciting days ever! Our class went on a surprise trip to the
science museum. At first, I thought it would be boring, but I was completely wrong.
The best part was seeing the huge dinosaur skeleton. It looked so real that I almost
expected it to move! We also watched a space show in a giant dome theatre. It felt like
I was flying among the stars.
After lunch, we tried different science experiments. My favourite activity was making a
small rocket blast into the air. I couldn't stop smiling when it flew so high.
On the way home, everyone was talking and laughing about the fun we had. I felt
grateful that I got to spend the day with my friends and teachers.
I will always remember today because I learned so many new things while having lots
of fun. I hope we can go on another trip soon!
