Extra Credit
1. Something new I learned about the condition of Alzheimer’s disease which I did not know
before viewing the narration is that I always thought of Alzheimer's as just the brain growing old
with a decrease in myelination. However, from the narration I learned it is due to plaques and
tangles which are toxic proteins that disrupt the neurons of the brain.
2. The main body system that Alzheimer’s disease affects is the brain. This can lead to other
affected areas such as coordinating muscles.
3. A few other disorders that also affect the brain are encephalitis, Parkinson’s disease, and
strokes.
Overall, I enjoyed watching the visual representation as well as getting very informative
information!
