Planetary Returns
A Complete Interpretive System for the
Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars,
Jupiter, Saturn, Lunar Nodes, Lilith, and
Chiron
Your chart does not expire. It repeats.
A return occurs when a moving body in the sky reoccupies the
precise position it held at your moment of birth. This is not
symbolism. This is celestial geometry. And each return functions
as a scheduled review of a specific department of your existence.
This book treats ten distinct cycles as a single unified field of
interpretation.
You will learn to read:
● The monthly lunar return – A reset of emotional instinct
and domestic rhythm. Occurs every 27.3 days. The shortest
cycle, but often the most diagnostically precise.
● The annual solar return – The birthday chart. A complete
blueprint for the coming year, organized around the return
Ascendant and its ruling planet.
● The Mercurial return – Up to three passages per calendar
year when the planet of cognition and commerce stations
near its natal degree. Each passage occupies a distinct
phase: preliminary contact, interior revision, and final
implementation.
● The Venusian return – An eight-year family of returns, not a
single event. Each Venus return belongs to a sequence. The
book teaches you to read a Venus return as one chapter in a
longer love-ethic narrative.
● The Martian return – Approximately every two years, but
frequently triple-passed. A return that governs initiation,
conflict, and the ethics of desire.
● The Jupiterian return – Every twelve years. A structural
expansion cycle. The book provides a longitudinal framework
for comparing your first, second, and third Jupiter returns
across decades.
● The Saturnine return – The twenty-nine-year reckoning.
Detailed comparative methodology for the first return (ages
28–30) versus the second return (ages 56–60), including the
seldom-discussed transitional period between them.
● The Nodal return – Every eighteen to nineteen years. This
is not a personal planet return. It is a karmic axis
recalibration. The book distinguishes between the South
2
Node return (familiar debt) and the North Node return
(unfamiliar trajectory).
● The Lilith return – Two interlocking cycles: a primary
nine-year return and a secondary four-year harmonic. A
return that surfaces what your chart has been trained to
suppress.
● The Chiron return – A single occurrence, typically between
ages forty-nine and fifty-one. No second pass. No do-over.
The book treats this as a diagnostic threshold for
wound-wisdom integration.
What the Book Delivers for Each Return
Every chapter follows the same rigorous structure, allowing you to
compare returns across planets:
First: The Standalone Return Chart
Interpreted as a discrete event. You learn to read the return's own
Ascendant, Midheaven, angular planets, and the condition of the
returning planet by sign, house, and aspect.
Second: The Overlay Chart
The return planets superimposed upon your natal chart. This
reveals:
● Which natal house the return planet occupies
● Which natal planets receive aspects from return planets
● The natal house cusp activated by the return Ascendant
Third: The Triple-Pass Framework (for retrograde bodies)
A systematic method for distinguishing:
● Pass One (direct): The announcement
● Pass Two (retrograde): The undoing and redoing
● Pass Three (direct): The settlement
No generic "Mercury retrograde advice." Instead, a chart-specific
logic for identifying which pass is currently active and what phase
of the cycle you are actually in.
Fourth: Multi-Return Sequencing
How one Venus return leads to the next. How a Saturn return
reconfigures the ground upon which your next Jupiter return will
3
land. How a nodal return reframes the meaning of the lunar returns
that follow.
Who Should Read This Book
This book is for practicing astrologers and serious students who
have moved past single-cycle cookbooks.
You do not need prior return-chart experience. Each chapter
assumes you know how to cast a chart and identify a planet's
degree. It does not assume you have ever interpreted a lunar
return or a Lilith return.
You should want a methodology, not a collection of
aphorisms. This book provides rules of interpretation, not
paragraph-long readings for every possible placement.
You should work with real charts. The book is designed to be
opened alongside your software or ephemeris, not read passively.
Why a Single System for Ten Returns
Most astrological literature isolates returns by planet. A book on
Saturn returns. A website on solar returns. A podcast episode on
nodal returns. This fragmentation obscures what becomes obvious
once you work with all ten: returns interact.
A lunar return falling exactly on a Saturn return's retrograde station
is not the same as a lunar return falling between Saturn returns. A
Chiron return aspecting the natal Jupiter is not the same as a
Chiron return with no Jupiter contact.
Mastering Astrological Returns gives you the same interpretive
grid for every cycle. You learn one method. You apply it ten times.
You gain the ability to read any return, for any planet, at any point
in a life.
