The energy use of the typical Australian family is depicted in the first pie chart. The
greenhouse gas emissions brought on by this energy use are displayed in the second chart.
Overall, there were different percentages between the energy use and the greenhouse gas
emissions resulting from the Australian household. Heating tools is topping the list in energy
use criterion while the water heating equipment is the biggest source for greenhouse gas
emissions.
On the first hand, heating tools occupy the first list with 42% then followed by water heating
equipment with 30% contribution in household energy use chart. Meanwhile, the third place
is occupied by other appliances with 15% contribution. Furthermore, refrigeration, lighting,
and cooling devices are contributing 7%, 4%, and 2% consecutively.
On the other hand, water heating equipment are topping the greenhouse gas emissions
chart with 32% contribution. Afterwards, the other appliances fill the second position with
28% contribution then followed by heating tools with 15% contribution. Moreover,
refrigeration, lighting, and cooling devices are the bottom three in this chart with contribution
of 14%, 8%, and 3% consecutively.
In conclusion, there are percentage differences of household devices between energy use
and greenhouse gas emissions. Even though, there are also similarities which heating tools,
water heating, and other appliances are the top three contributors in both charts. Whereas,
refrigeration, lighting and cooling devices are the bottom three contributors.
