When the bandwidth is large (like 10), the density curve becomes very smooth and hides most
of the details in the data. When the bandwidth is very small (like 1), the curve becomes super
jagged and shows a lot of random noise. A middle bandwidth around 3 gives the clearest picture
because it’s smooth but still shows the important shapes in the distribution.
When I switch the kernel to triangular, the overall shape of the density stays similar, but the
triangular kernel makes the curve a bit sharper and less smooth. The peaks become slightly
more pronounced, especially when the bandwidth is small. This shows how the choice of kernel
can change the smoothness of the density, even if the general pattern stays the same.
