Course: Introduction to Environment and Sustainability
Session: 1 – Impact of Anthropogenic Activities & Pollution
Faculty: Dr. Amar Jain
Problem Statement:
Human activities significantly affect natural ecosystems, including water, air, forests, coasts,
soil, and noise levels. In this activity, you will explore the impact of anthropogenic
activities on the environment through case study analysis and on-campus demonstration
data.
1. Discuss the case study provided during the session (or an equivalent local
example).
2. Analyze the impact on various ecosystems and pollution types, including:
o Water, Air, Soil, Forests, Coasts
o Noise pollution
o Ecological balance and biodiversity loss
Submission Guidelines:
Report Type: Handwritten
Length: 30-40 Pages.
Content Structure:
o Title of the case study
o Introduction / Background
o Observed / Discussed impacts on ecosystems and biodiversity
o Summary
o Proposed mitigation strategies / recommendations
o References
Evaluation: Based on analysis depth, clarity of presentation, and relevance of
recommendations.
