PED 187: Team Sports
Final Project
Now that our time is coming to an end, it’s time for your final project! I will be giving you 8
sporting events to choose from down below. Pick one activity and create a flyer (Google docs,
Canva, poster board, etc.) advertising the event, then create a playlist (Apple Music, Spotify,
Word doc. etc.) to go along with your event. The playlist should go with the theme (i.e. 80’s
themed roller derby should have 80’s music, senior bowling tournaments should be cranking the
oldies, kid events should have kid friendly/clean music - research the music and have fun with
it!) With the event, get creative - include price of admission, contact information, location,
concessions, prizes, extra information you think is needed to boost your event. Email them to
me or hand them in between now and our last day of class. Sporting events listed below:
A. An 80’s themed Roller Derby for adults, raising money for someone in the community
fighting cancer.
B. A college students versus alumni flag football tournament.
C. A Christmas Classic Basketball tournament for anyone 18+.
D. A senior bowling tournament for anyone 65+, raising money for one of the local nursing
homes.
E. A kids indoor soccer tournament to raise money for the local dog shelter.
F. A Rock the Park Pond Hockey tournament for anyone 18+.
G. An Adult Coed Softball Tournament.
H. A 4th of July Beach Volleyball Tournament 18+.
