Republic Act 10354 or the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health of
2012, that aims to provide universal access to methods of contraception, fertility control,
sexual education, and maternal care to every filipinos must fall under public concern. The
objective of RH law also recognizes the rights of the youth, children, and the unborn… so
I believe that this matter concerns everyone.
In this generation people are starting to normalize teenage pregnancy, marriage
without proper family planning as practice, and spurning early sex education resulting a
default function in the community. It simply starts inside our family, as it is the basic unit
of the society, and this simple issue initiates a huge problem in our community. For
instance, a family that is insolvent, because they didn’t think much of fertility control and
family planning, this kind of situation may lead them to poverty. We all know that one of
the main problem we are facing as a whole in a society is poverty, and overpopulation
that affects the nation’s economy, and the economy affects everyone.
To conclude, everything starts from the root, your decision as an individual may
act on the productivity of the bigger circle where everyone is involved. RH law is
basically a business of the society - from the outset of an individual or a family, to the
worry of entire community.
