The defaults are stored in files, with different defaults suitable for different types of drawings. The Draw user must load a suitable file during Automatic Drawing Production. The ADP application can add dimensions, labels, and schedules to a drawing. It can also add graphical information such as equipment centrelines and pipe end symbols. The ADP application recognises different types of dimensions: Type 1 dimensions for pipework. Type 2 dimensions for equipment centres. Type 3 dimensions for gridlines. The way in which each type of dimension is displayed can be controlled. The order in which types of dimensions are generated can be specified and for each type, rules can be setup using PML expressions to define how different drawing element types are dimensioned. 3.2.1 Setting the ADP Defaults – A Worked Example The ADP Defaults are set on the ADP Defaults File Editor form, which is displayed when selecting General from the Defaults group of the Auto tab. There are several defaults files supplied with the product, located in the directory %PDMSDFLTS% e.g. C:\Users\Public\Documents\AVEVA\Plant\E3D\Da ta1.1.0\DFLTS The file names are of the form DRA-GENADP -* These files can be modified, and new files created. Default files are loaded by selecting File > Load From… on the ADP Defaults File Editor form, alternatively selecting the Browse button to prompt the file browser so the user can select the required file. The ADP Defaults form buttons are explained below: Browse… displays a file browser. From View used a prompt is displayed to identify any element in the required View. The default file to create the identified view will be loaded. © Copyright 2012 to current year. AVEVA Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries. All rights reserved. 16 www.aveva.com AVEVA Everything3D (1.1) Draw Automatic Drawing Production TM-1831 Reload reloads the current default file (PML macro). When a defaults file is loaded, the ADP Defaults File Editor form will be populated with details from the file. The populated fields are as follows: File Header displays the description of the default file. Type 1 Type 2 Type 3 Not all dimensions types are used in default files, when a type is not used in the current default file, the type is shown as unused. Following the workflow described, load the file: dra-genadp-piping. Change the file Header to Basic Piping GA Training, and using the form option File > Save As… save the file as dra-genadp-piping-training. Cancel and reload the defaults using File > Load From… and selecting dra-genadp-piping-training. 3.2.2 Type 1 Annotation (Pipe) – A Worked Example To change a type of dimension annotation, the appropriate Type button on the ADP Defaults File Editor form is clicked. Similarly, the Default Tag Ruleset is set by navigating to the required Ruleset: /TT/DRA/PRJ/ADP/TAGGS/PGA and clicking the CE button. Use the Replace option to add the rule. Once the settings have been made on the ADP Defaults – Tagging form, click the OK button. On the ADP Defaults File Editor form, select File > Save to save all the changes that have been made. 3.2.8 Creating a Tagging Library The tagging facilities used in ADP are based on the standard Draw automatic tagging functionality. The ADP PGA defaults file contains an entry to allow the Administrator to define the Tag Ruleset element to be made available to the user during use of the ADP system. The supplied system default refers to a Tag Rule Library (TRLB) named /TT/DRA/PRJ/ADP/TAGGS/PGA. This library contains the TRST’s available to the user on the ADP Tagging form during the ADP creation process. To define additional elements for tagging during theADP process, a TRST and a respective TAGR element (with tag rules and tagging templates as required) is created. An important consideration for the ADP system is that the last part of the TRST name is translated to the ADP Tagging form and should therefore have an intuitive description. For example, if the TRST is named /MYTAG/Instruments, then Instruments will appear on the ADP Tagging form. Some example tagging templates are provided in the label libraries. © Copyright 2012 to current year. AVEVA Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries. The ADP PGA defaults file contains an entry to allow the Draw Administrator to define the Tag Ruleset element to be made available to the User during the use of the ADP system. The supplied system default refers to a TRLB called /TT/DRA/PRJ/ADP/SCHED/PGA that contains the Tag Rulesets (TRST) that the user will access from the ADP Schedules form. A naming convention, shown by the graphic, must be adhered to when creating TRST (and TAGR) elements. Each of which represents an available schedule for use by the user. © Copyright 2012 to current year. AVEVA Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries. All rights reserved. 30 www.aveva.com AVEVA Everything3D (1.1) Draw Automatic Drawing Production TM-1831 A TAGR /LOCAL rule can reference a Symbol Template (SYTM) or Text Template (TXTM) as required. This tag rule is for generating the tags local to the design graphics in the View. A TAGR /ENTRY rule references a (special) SYTM which, in turn, has references to other SYTMs and is used for generating the tabular format entries generated as part of the schedule. In order to generate a matching set of local and table tags it is important that both TAGRs have the same criteria. The SYTM referenced by the TAGR /ENTRY has an associated set of SYTMs as shown below, where prefix can be any prefix name for the SYTMs, but the same prefix is used to identify all three SYTMs required to construct the schedules table. The example shown is based on the Project Libraries supplied in the Sample Project, in the library TT/DRA/PRJ/ADP/SCHED. The functions of the three schedule table SYTMs are explained below prefix/ENTRY – the SYTM used to create the table entries © Copyright 2012 to current year. The SYTM prefix/OFFSET contains a single TEXP; the BTEX value determines how each table entry is positioned with respect to the previous. The BTEX simple states the OFFSET for each table entry in the standard X and Y format. For example, X 0 Y -6. This means each table entry is offset by -6mm in the Y direction, thereby producing a vertical table that expands down the sheet from the origin position. The origin and extent positions for any schedules created are initially taken from a special note created in the BACK by the administrator. See section 3.2.10.3 for details of how to implement this. 3.2.9.1 Creating a New Schedule To create a new Library for the Schedule, navigate to the DEPT TT/Project_Libraries and create a new LIBY, by selecting the Create option from the Library segmented button in the Libraries group of the Admin tab. The following sections describe the types of additional information that can be created under a BACK for use by the ADP system. The general ADP application makes use of special information stored on the backing sheet in the form of Notes, which specify where certain types of annotation generated by ADP will be located on the sheet. If © Copyright 2012 to current year. AVEVA Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries. All rights reserved. 36 www.aveva.com AVEVA Everything3D (1.1) Draw Automatic Drawing Production TM-1831 this information is not present on the backing sheet, the application will either prompt the user for input or not allow the user access to the associated automatic annotation options. All the Notes have visibility set to false. 3.2.10.1 Reference Drawings This is the area on the Sheet that is available for the user to insert a list of Reference Drawings. It is defined under a Note named <back_sheet_name>/REFDRWGS. The Note contains TEXP elements that are used to represent reference drawings associated with a sheet. Each TEXP should be positioned and have attributes set as required. The TEXP is copied from the backing sheet onto the user’s sheet during reference drawing definition. The Note may contain as many TEXPs as required. Each of the TEXP elements will be used to automatically redefine the entry fields on the Reference Drawing form. The TEXP is copied from the backing sheet onto the created sheet during reference drawing definition. The Reference Drawing Note should also contain a rectangular area to represent the available area on the sheet for the reference drawing texts.. To ensure that the rectangle is not shown on the drawing, the Visibility (LVIS) attribute of the owning NOTE is set to FALSE. 3.2.10.2 Sheet Limits This is the area available on the backing sheet where the View will be created. It is defined under a Note named <back_sheet_name>/LIMITS. The Note should contain just one RECT element whose limits correspond to the available free space on the BACK. The Visibillity (LVIS) of the NOTE should be set to FALSE in order to inhibit the display of the rectangle on the final sheet. © Copyright 2012 to current year. AVEVA Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries. All rights reserved. 37 www.aveva.com AVEVA Everything3D (1.1) Draw Automatic Drawing Production TM-1831 3.2.10.3 Schedules This is the area on the Sheet that will be used to display Schedules. The origin of the schedule table and its maximum extent is defined on the backing sheet. Only one origin and extent definition can be added to a BACK and this is initially used by ALL schedules that are created by the user. The User always has the option to re-define the two attributes for any schedule created. The ORIGIN and EXTENT information gives the application a starting point for any schedules. To create the ORIGIN and EXTENT positions on the backing sheet the Draw Administrator creates a NOTE under the required BACK with the name <back_sheet_name>/SCHEDULE. The note should contain two MRKP elements named <back_sheet_name>/SCHEDULE/ORIGIN and <back_sheet_name>/SCHEDULE/EXTENT. The MRKP element defines the origin of the schedule. ID@ command could be used to ascertain an exact position in the sheet. The MRKP defining the extent of the schedule should be positioned at a point past which the schedule should not be built. All subsequent schedule entries that would exceed this extent position are hidden and the user is warned of the schedule overflow. 3.2.10.4 Keyplan This is the area on the Sheet that will be used to display a Keyplan. It is defined under a Note named <back_sheet_name>/KEYPLAN. This note should contain one MRKP element to determine the position for the Sheet’s Keyplan OLAY. The MRKP must be named <back_sheet_name>/KEYPLAN/ORIGIN. © Copyright 2012 to current year. AVEVA Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries. All rights reserved. 38 www.aveva.com AVEVA Everything3D (1.1) Draw Automatic Drawing Production TM-1831 3.2.10.5 Title This is the area on the Sheet that will be used to display the title block of the backing sheet. It is defined under a Note named <back_sheet_name>/TITLE. The Note can contain 2D primitives to define the geometry of the Title Block. The Note should have a Rectangle (the first primitive in the list, or first Rectangle in the list) with NLSTYLE set to OFF, whose area will define the area occupied by the title block. This is used during zoom operations. 3.2.10.6 Logo The NOTE named <back_sheet_name>/LOGO contains a reference to the company logo. This is controlled by a Symbol (SYMB) with a Template Referencre (Tmrf) pointing to a SYTM that holds all the 2D primitives required to complete the template’s definition 3.2.10.7 Frame The NOTE named <back_sheet_name>/FRAME contains all the 2D primitives that fully define the backing sheet. The information contained by LOGO could be included under this note as well. 3.2.10.8 Summary The following summarises the special Notes that can exist on the backing sheets, more details are given below. © Copyright 2012 to current year.
