Patient will report improvement with pain to 5/10 at worse level prolonged sitting and standing
activities.
Patient will report a decrease in 50% in involved upper extremity radicular complaints.
Patient will be able to report improved sleeping time by 2 hours secondary to decrease pain in cervical
spine and UEs.
Patient will report a 25% improvement in neck pain with static activities such as sitting, reading, driving
and computer work.
Patient will be able to report less pain with driving and be able to drive 1 hour without increase in pain.
Patient will report a reduction in palpable tenderness by 30% in cervical spine musculature and involved
upper extremity.
Patient will report decrease incidence of headaches by 50% during the week.
Patient will be independent with home exercise program to improve cervical mobility.
Patient will improve bilateral cervical rotation to WFL without pain or stiffness to assist with overall
functional movements of neck for ADLs.
Patient will report no right UE radicular symptoms including pain, numbness and tingling.
Patient will report a reduction in palpable tenderness and muscle turgor by 75% in cervical spine
musculature and involved upper extremity.
Patient will report no pain with palpation of cervical spine musculature.
Patient will improve postural musculature strength, deep neck flexor strength and bilateral UE strength
by ½ grade throughout.
Patient will demonstrate improved grip strength of involved upper extremity by 5#.
Patient will be able to report improved Neck Disability Score Index to a score of less than 10% in regard
to neck during ADL performance.
Difficulty sleeping secondary to pain in neck and involved upper extremity
Decreased cervical spine and involved upper extremity ROM preventing full functional activity
Decreased strength throughout involved upper extremity limiting functional activities
Difficulty with static sitting activities such as driving, sitting at desk for computer work and reading
Palpable muscle spasms and pain in cervical musculature bilaterally
Poor cervical postural awareness in sitting and standing with reports of increase in pain
Decrease grip strength of right/left UE
Increased headaches reported by patient on a weekly basis
Increase pain in neck and bilateral shoulder and arm tingling/numbness at worse level of 8/10
