Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global goals set by the
United Nations (UN) in 2015. The aim is to end poverty, protect the planet, and
make sure all people enjoy peace and prosperity by the year 2030.
These goals help countries work together for a better world — for us, our
communities, and for future generations.
Why Do We Need the SDGs?
The world is facing many big problems:
Poverty – Many people don’t have enough money, food, or a safe place to
live.
Hunger – Children and adults in some areas do not get enough healthy food.
Climate Change – Pollution and global warming are harming nature and
causing disasters.
Inequality – Some people are treated unfairly because of their gender, race,
or where they live.
The SDGs help solve these problems together.
