4D Function Introduction
OnDemandSoft provides 4D with functions as described below and provides it in
API(Application Programming Interface) form for integration in factory process.
1. 4D Rendering Mode
A. Real Skin & Silhouette mode : For visualization of realistic skin color, it provides light source
around the 3D volume. The effect of the light rays from the light source to the volume is
calculated as the real light affects to 3D objects visualization in real world. User can control the
light position and diffuse the light to smooth the shadows. Light source is provided in [Realskin]
and [Silhouette] mode.

C. Depth View & Light mode: To help distinguish near and far structure of 3D from monitor screen,
Depth View mode uses 2 colors which user selects from 3D palette. Light mode renders near
structure bright, far structure dark by using pre-defined factory color.

2. Extract Mode

3. Smart Face
While Smart Face is on, it automatically detects fetal structure hidden by front overlaying structure
and properly position cutting line to exclude them.

4. MultiSlice mode
MultiSlice is tomographic ultrasound image view mode which spreads 2D slice images out of 3D
volume along the pre-defined axis user select. User can change the distance between the slices,
image layout and thickness of 2D images from menu.

5. Niche mode
NICHE -1 mode
NICHE -2 mode
This NICHE mode is to show three orthogonal plane images (sagittal, axial, coronal view) in 3dimensional space.

6.Thick Slice
User can set thickness of 2D slice images in Multiplanar, Curved Slice and MultiSlice mode. It changes
each 2D images to 3D volumes with given thickness resulting better contrast and more information to
observe.

7.Curved Slice
User draws polygon line along target fetal body structure and the image along the user drawn line is
cut out and shown.

8.Volume measure mode
The contour of target object is drawn by one of Auto, Semi-Auto or Manual method.
After extracting volume of target object, it provides cut out volume size information.

10.STIC
This mode is to scan fetal heart and builds series 3D volumes that shows one cycle of fetal heart
rate.

11.Auto Volume Analysis
This mode builds hypo-echoic structures such as follicles and gall bladder into 3D by pressing one
button. It is useful to count the number of hypo-echoic objects existing within defined area by automatic
and semi-automatic method. It provides measured volume and size information of the detected hypoechoic objects in different colors that matches with the 3D mapping color of detected each object.
