FEAR PRESENATION: my lines
Part I: Introduction (Approx. 2 minutes) - Lead: [Zainab]
Slide 1 (0:00-0:20): Title Slide
(Zainab, looking at the audience with a welcoming smile): "Hello everyone, and welcome.
Today, [gesturing slightly to your classmates], [Liyana], [Alia], and I will be taking you on a
journey into the fascinating world of fear."
Slide 2 (0:20-1:00): Introduction and Core Points
(Zainab): "We all experience fear in different ways, and it can be a powerful emotion. Over the
next few minutes, we'll be exploring this universal human experience from a few different
angles. First, we'll summarize the various types of fears we encounter. Then, we'll share some
personal perspectives and stories that bring these fears to life. Finally, we'll delve into the
origins of fear, considering whether they stem from logical roots or more irrational places.
Along the way, we might touch upon some specific terms related to fear, so keep an ear out!"
Slide 3 (1:00-2:00): Overview of Fear Types
(Zainab, gesturing to the slide): "To begin, we'll broadly categorize the fears we'll be discussing
into three main groups: primal fears – those deeply ingrained survival instincts; social fears –
anxieties related to our interactions with others; and phobias – intense, irrational fears that can
significantly impact our lives. [Liyana] will start us off by exploring those primal fears."
Part III: Origins of Fear - Rational or Irrational? (Approx. 3 minutes) - All Three
Slide 11 (11:00-11:30): The Subjectivity of Fear (Lead: [Zainab])
(Zainab): "And ultimately, it's important to remember that the line between what feels rational
and irrational can be quite subjective. What one person considers a reasonable caution might
be a source of significant anxiety for another, often shaped by their individual experiences and
perspectives."
Part IV: Conclusion (Approx. 1 minute) - All Three
Slide 12 (11:30-12:15): Summary & Final Thought
(Zainab): "So, as we've explored, fears are incredibly diverse..."
(Liyana): "...deeply personal in how they affect us..."
(Alia): "...and arise from a complex interplay of our biology and our experiences."
(All Three, perhaps nodding slightly): "Thank you for your time."
