Do you think technology has improved our lives or made them more
complicated? Provide reasons and examples to support your opinion.
This is a really complicated question to answer, I think is preferable to consider both sides of
this problematic:
Improvements on our live:
Technology has simplified an uncountable quantity of processes: from our daily routine on our
houses, to the most difficult algorithms on the fabric and industries. It really helped us make
gigantic advances in topics like medicine (have a cure for multiple diseases) or architecture
(making the construction a lot easier), and even writing this essay is all thanks to the
technology I’m using right now!
The other side of the technology advancements:
In the other hand, the technology can’t be fabricated without energy or contaminating the
environment. Firstly, even in this modern era we are still in the consistent need of using fossil
fuels, a natural recurse that is not removable and eventually will be depleted. Secondly, the
constant growth of the fabrics mean that humans are destroying natural areas, moving the
animals that once lived there to other ecosystems. Not only that, this even affects other human
beings: fabrics contaminate rivers, the air quality and the earth with its toxic residues.
In conclusion, the various advancements in technology have made our lives a lot easier, but at
the cost of polluting our own planet, destroying the habitats of a gigantic quantity of animal
and floral species and contaminating even the living place of other human beings.
Introduction: Technology has undoubtedly brought significant improvements to our lives,
making many processes simpler and more efficient. From advances in medicine to innovations
in architecture, technology has enabled remarkable progress. However, these advancements
come with their own set of challenges, including environmental impacts and resource
depletion.
Body Paragraph 1: On one hand, technology has streamlined numerous processes, from daily
household tasks to complex industrial operations. In medicine, technological innovations have
led to cures for various diseases and improved diagnostic tools. In architecture, technology has
simplified construction techniques, allowing for the creation of more complex and sustainable
structures. Even the ability to write and share this essay is a testament to the benefits of
technology.
Body Paragraph 2: On the other hand, the production and use of technology often involve
significant environmental costs. The reliance on fossil fuels for energy continues to be a major
issue, as these resources are finite and contribute to pollution. Additionally, the expansion of
industrial facilities leads to deforestation and habitat destruction, impacting wildlife and
ecosystems. The pollution of air, water, and soil further exacerbates these environmental
problems.
Conclusion: In conclusion, while technology has undeniably improved our lives by enhancing
various aspects of daily living and advancing numerous fields, it has also introduced challenges
such as environmental degradation and resource depletion. Balancing technological progress
with sustainable practices is crucial to ensuring that the benefits of technology do not come at
too great a cost.
