Searching for a job is a process, and it can sometimes be a lengthy one. There are a few vital steps and preparations to be done in the process of job searching. STEPS IN JOB APPLICATION PROCESS In today's competitive job market, looking for a new job can be an intimidating challenge. You may not know where to start or which search method is the right choice for you. If you are searching for your first job or looking for a career change, you will need to know the most effective steps for conducting a successful job search. Criteria Justifications ANALYSING COMMONLY USED WORDS AND PHRASES IN JOB ADVERTISEMENTS AND INFERRING THEIR MEANINGS Apart from preparing yourself in job searching process, it is also essential to analyse the commonly used words and phrases in job advertisements. Certain words and phrases are repeated frequently because it is hard to encapsulate a job, company, and desired qualities of an employee in a short space. However, do not dismiss these keywords just because of overuse – the words and phrases in job advertisements can provide so much insight into the role, culture, expectation, and company. Experience in display analysis, merchandise planning, planogram and range change would be an advantage Excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels Customer-focused, a team player, self-driven and able to work independently, proactive and perform under tight deadline Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office, especially in Excel. Positive attitude, self-motivated, a good team player, disciplined, committed and able to work under pressure.
