1. The case of Baby Jane Doe Do you agree with the parents’ decision? Why or why not? The decision made by the parents of Baby Jane Doe was for the best interest of their child. Although Dr. Keuskamp's recommendation may be seen to give a better life for their daughter, the parents still sided with Dr. Newman, accepted their daughter’s condition and believed that they may still be able to provide a more comfortable and livable life with her, may she live long or not, despite not having the surgery. I also think that the parents was able to think rationally, sought opinions of relatives and other medical professionals before coming into their decision. 2. If your where Mr. Peterson, what would you do? Why? At what stage of moral development would your reason be? Mr. Peterson maintained a good relationship with his students which is the reason why they informed him on their plans regarding the boycott. However, he should inform the school administration on the impending boycott and picket line of his students since he is a member of the faculty and there are rules and regulations in the administration that should be followed. Since Mr. Peterson knows the concern of each of the parties involved, he may stand as the mediator where both parties may discuss and come up with a fair solution that could benefit both of the groups.
