Tool And Equipment Maintenance Classification of Hardware Tools Identifying Unsafe or Faulty Tools Environmental Safety and Health Program requires the following: 1. All tools be kept in good condition with regular maintenance. 2. The right tool be used for the job. 3. Each tool be examined before use AND damaged or defective tools NOT to be used. 4. Tools be operated according to manufacturer’s instructions. 5. The right protective equipment for the tool and activity be used. Proper identification of hand tools Tips for properly use of hand tools The successful maintenance program. Tips for proper use of cleaning materials/tools General requirements for tools and equipment maintenance Block Diagram of the Computer System Proper Storage of Tools, Parts, and Equipment Chart on proper cleaning of hand tools and materials 4 successful maintenance programs. #2. 6 general requirements for tools and equipment maintenance. F. Developing Mastery (Lead to Formative Assessment 3) Computer Hardware tools category: 1. Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) tools 2. Hand tools 3. Cleaning tools 4. Diagnostic tools Identifying faulty and damaged tools in CSS Keeping computers clean inside and out is a vital part of a maintenance program. Dirt can cause problems with the physical operation of fans, buttons, and other mechanical components. On electrical components, an excessive buildup of dust will act like an insulator and trap the heat. This insulation will impair the ability of heat sinks and cooling fans to keep components cool, causing chips and circuits to overheat and fail. G. Finding practical application of concepts and skills in daily living Why do we need to understand the categories of computer hardware tools? Why do we need to examine computer hardware tools? Why do we need to identify the Hand tools that needs to be properly cleaned in CSS? H. Making Generalizations and Abstraction about the Lesson. What have you learned? What are the four categories of computer hardware? What have you learned? What are the four categories of computer hardware? What have you learned? What are the Components to be cleaned in a computer system? Good practice and benefits of Proper Storage of Tools, Parts, and Equipment All tools and equipment must be properly maintained so that workers are not endangered. Regulations require inspections of tools, machines and equipment before use. Preventive maintenance is the systematic care and protection of tools, equipment and machines in order to keep them in a safe, usable condition, limit downtime and extend productivity. We must always be aware that maintenance tasks themselves are potentially hazardous and can result in injury. Why do we need to learn the successful maintenance program, the general requirements for tools and equipment maintenance, and the good practice and benefits of Proper Storage of Tools, Parts, and Equipment? What have you learned? What are the 4 successful maintenance programs? What are the 6 general requirements for tools and equipment maintenance? I. Evaluating Learning J. Additional Activities for Application or Remediation V. REMARKS VI. REFLECTION A. No. of learners earned 80% in the evaluation. B . No. of learners who required additional activities for remediation who scored below 80% C. Did the remedial lesson work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson. D. No. of learner who continue to require remediation Why is it essential to know the types of hardware tools? What are the 5 Environmental Safety and Health Program? Cite at least 5 Hand tools that needs to be cleaned in CSS. Cite at least three examples of Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) tools, Hand tools, cleaning tools, and Diagnostic tools. PRACTICUM/ PERFORMANCE TASK Identify at least 3 hand tools at home which you consider faulty or damaged. Explain how you arrived at your conclusions. In paragraph form. Site the importance of cleaning the tools and components in a computer system. What are the good practice and benefits of Proper Storage of Tools, Parts, and Equipment? POST TEST Directions: Read and understand each question carefully and choose the letter of the correct answer then write your answer on the space provided. PRACTICUM/ PERFORMANCE TASK Individual Demonstration on proper cleaning of components. E. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why did these work? F.
