The basic steps for injection are as follows:

1. Hold
as shown in the diagram below.
Clean the injectable surface
of the bottle with a provided
alcohol pad.

the bottle, making sure
there are no air bubbles
in the syringe. The top of
the black plunger should
be level with the desired

recommend the abdominal area,
as the front of the thigh can be
more uncomfortable and the
upper arms are difficult to self
inject. Clean the area with an
alcohol pad.

4. As
pinch the skin ~2-3 in lateral to
the belly button, making sure you
are pinching mostly skin and not
abdominal fat beneath. Hold the
needle like a dart and inject into
the area of the pinched skin at
a 90 degree angle. Depress the
plunger to inject contents of the
syringe into the area.

Recap your needle and
dispose of the needle
in the provided sharps
container. Once the
sharps container is full,
please return it to the
clinic for proper disposal
and we will provide you
with a new one.
