Mock Indian Parliament
Allocation of ministries & Stakeholders: Participants will be grouped into key ministries and
interest groups including Government Ministries (e.g. Environment, Finance, Defence,
States etc.), Opposition and shadow ministers, Public representatives etc.
Selected delegates receive the following information 2 days before the event
Bill to be discussed
The topic for Question hour
Allocation to the Ruling/ Opposition side communicated few hours before the event
The mock Indian parliament will take place in 2 phases
Phase1: Question hour
short break
Phase2: Bill
Question hour and Discussion on the Bill will be regulated by the Speaker and his/her
decision will be final
Evaluation Criteria:
Coherence - consistency
Quality of arguments - logic
Structuring of thoughts - order
Balanced perspective - coverage of all relevant stakeholders
General Rules:
All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the
organizing committee.
The format and structure of the event may be subjected to slight modifications, which will be
communicated before/during the event
The decisions of organizers will be final and binding on all participants, during all rounds
Organizers hold the right to change/modify the rules or guidelines at any time
during the event
