1. How would you create a positive and joyful environment in your organizations
and projects?
To create a positive and joyful environment in organizations and projects, I believe
in seeking divine guidance first and foremost. Cultivating a positive mindset is
crucial, as it enables us to focus on the brighter side of any situation. Being kind
and starting each day with happiness can influence others positively. It’s essential
to prepare both the environment and ourselves, ensuring we are ready physically,
mentally, socially, and emotionally. Understanding that everything we do is for a
higher purpose aligns our actions with our values and brings fulfillment. As
Proverbs 16:3 states, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish
your plans." This verse reminds us of the importance of intention and preparation
in creating a joyful environment.
2. Which areas would you improve on?
I would focus on overcoming personal barriers that limit my potential, such as
eliminating vices and addressing any activities that distract from my goals.
Prioritizing the organization of my life is essential for better time management and
efficiency. Additionally, I aim to deepen my understanding of project management
techniques, such as the Critical Path Method, which helps in effectively sorting and
distributing tasks, ensuring smoother workflow and enhanced productivity.
3. Why do you think the joy of others comes first before the leader's joy?
The joy of others is intrinsically linked to a leader’s success. When a leader
prioritizes the well-being and happiness of their team, it fosters a positive
environment that enhances performance and morale. Although it might seem that
the leader’s joy comes from personal achievements, true fulfillment often comes
from serving and uplifting others. When the team thrives, it reflects back on the
leader, creating a sense of accomplishment and joy. By serving better, a leader not
only improves the team's experience but also finds greater personal satisfaction.
As the saying goes, "A rising tide lifts all boats," and in this context, uplifting others
ultimately elevates the leader as well.
Reflection on Becoming a Future Leader by Embracing Servant
Leadership and a Growth Mindset

In reflecting on my journey towards becoming a future leader, I am guided
by the principles of a growth mindset and the core values of servant
leadership. The growth mindset emphasizes that God has planted a seed
within each of us, representing our potential, talents, and natural ability to
lead and inspire. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have
for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans
to give you hope and a future." This verse highlights the importance of
recognizing the divine source of our potential and trusting in God's plan for
our growth.
The right environment is crucial for nurturing the seed God has planted in
us, and my experience at WCC Aeronautical and Technological College has
been vital in this regard. The supportive community, the challenging
curriculum, and the opportunities for hands-on learning have provided the
rich soil necessary for my growth. As a servant leader, it is essential to create
an environment where others can also flourish and develop their potential.
Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me." This supportive environment, combined with God’s
strength, has allowed me to develop my skills and talents, preparing me for
the responsibilities and challenges of leadership.
Time and care are essential for growth, both personal and in serving others.
Just as a seed needs time, water, and care to grow into a strong plant, so too
do our abilities and leadership qualities need consistent effort and
perseverance. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans." This commitment involves continuous
learning, self-improvement, and a dedication to serving others. During my
time at college, I have taken part in many activities that have honed my
abilities, from group projects to leadership roles in student organizations.
Each experience has been a step in the growth process, helping me to
develop the skills necessary to lead effectively and to understand the true
essence of servant leadership.
Growth is a sign of God’s blessing and grace, and it is our role to nurture
what God has given us. However, it is through His grace that we ultimately
grow and thrive. As I prepare to transition from college to the wider world,
I am reminded of Ephesians 3:20, "Now to him who is able to do
immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that
is at work within us." This verse highlights that our growth is not solely our
own doing but a result of God's power and grace working through us. As a
servant leader, understanding the purpose in leadership is crucial. It
involves knowing when to speak, when to listen, and where to direct our
efforts wisely, ensuring that our leadership is aligned with God's will and
purpose.
In conclusion, becoming a future leader is a journey of embracing the
growth mindset and the principles of servant leadership. Recognizing the
seed that God has planted in us, nurturing it in the right environment, and
dedicating time and effort to its growth are vital steps. My experiences at
WCC Aeronautical and Technological College have been essential in this
journey, providing me with the skills and opportunities to develop as a
leader. With God's blessing and grace, I am committed to serving others,
maximizing my potential, and leading with wisdom and purpose. As a future
leader guided by servant leadership, I strive to uplift others, support their
growth, and ensure that my actions reflect the higher purpose God has
envisioned for all of us.
