MARRIAGE EARLY MARRIAGE •Early marriage or most commonly known as Child marriage refers to all marriages or unions in which one or both spouses are under the age of 18 and or were not able to give their free and informed consent. Types of EARLY MARRIAGE Promissory Marriage Marriage that are arranged before the birth of the child. Early Adolescent Marriage. Marriage that involves the ages of children 1014y/o. Late Adolescent Marriage Where it involves children aging from 15 to 18 y/o. Causes of EARLY MARRIAGE Early marriage can arise due to number of reasons such as these: •To raise one’s economic and social status. •Religion. •Tradition. •Lack of Education. •Pressures from older members of the Family. Effects of EARLY MARRIAGE •Denial of personal development & education. •Maturity issues. •Sexually Transmitted Diseases. •Mental & Emotional stress. •Domestic Violence and Abandonment. •Pressures from older members of the Family. EARLY pregnancy •Teenage pregnancy is when a woman under 18 gets pregnant. It usually refers to teens between the ages of 15-18. But it can include girls as young as 10. It's also called teen pregnancy or adolescent pregnancy. Causes of EARLY PREGNANCY Early pregnancy can arise due to number of reasons such as these: •Lack of information about sexual and reproductive health and rights. •Sexual violence. •Chaotic environment within the home. •Lack of education or school drop-out. •Influence on sex, Effects of EARLY MARRIAGE •Health risks and complications due to their immature bodies. •Maternal and child mortality. •Unemployment & Poverty. •Negative social and economic effects on: 1. their families and; 2. communities.
