SOLUTION 2. RESET FIREWALL SETTINGS TO RESOLVE

• Click the Windows Start icon, type ‘Windows Firewall’ in the search box, and open Firewall.
• Select Advanced Settings, right-click Inbound Rules (later Outbound Rules), and click New Rule.
• Select Port, then Next, and select TCP.
• Under the Specific local ports field, enter the specific ports for your QuickBooks year version and click
Next.
• Choose Allow the Connection, and then Next.
• Check to make sure all profiles are marked, then click Next, and create a new rule with the name
‘QBPorts (year).
• Lastly, click Finish and repeat the same steps to create outbound rules.
SOLUTION 3. CREATE A NEW FOLDER OR THE COMPANY FILES
• Move to the computer that is hosting the company file and open the QuickBooks folder.
• On your desktop, create a new folder and paste your company files into it.
• Right-click the folder you created and choose Properties.
• Select the Share tab and then Advanced Sharing.
• Select the Share This Folder checkbox and click Permissions.
• Mark the Full Control checkbox to everyone, click Apply, and then OK.
