this time, he volunteered as a public address announcer for the Burnaby Express hockey
team.

In 2012, Brendan became the play-by-play announcer for the Surrey Eagles in the
British Columbia Hockey League. The next year, he joined the Vancouver Giants in the
Western Hockey League as their play-by-play voice and Director of Media Relations. In
2017, at 28, he became the lead play-by-play announcer for the Vancouver Canucks on
Sportsnet 650, making him one of the youngest broadcasters in the NHL.
