TRAGEDY BACKSTORY
María Fernanda Dolores Molinero and her brother were born and raised on
Jerez de la Frontera, next to the Flores family with whom she learned to
dance and sing Catalan Rumba with Rosario Flores.
At the early age of 9, she was diagnosed with schizophrenia but, she was
treated to control her mental health illness. A month away, her parents
disappeared

circumstances
and

inconscient. Until, one day, their nightmare became true. On the news
were cases of people with near age that disappeared because of the
butoni.
WARDROPE
The inspiration of María Fernanda Dolores Molinero is inspired on Manolo
Caro’s series “La Sagrada Familia”: Bright colors and full of extravaganza to
make the film more interesting and have a contrast between day and night.
INCITING INCIDENT
During a performance of hers and Rosario Flores, as they were
singing, “Qué bonito”, she received a call from her brother… When
she got off the stage checked her cellphone and saw that she had a
voicemail from her brother. In it he said: “Marifé sabé’ que te
adoro con locura, to’ e’tará bien” and a monster cry interrupted
the voicemail and it ended. She, because of her diagnosis, needed
to remain calm in front of the situation, took her car keys and
drove to her brother’s location. On her way, she saw something
like Butoni at the side of the road and got distracted and fell
into a cliff… She survived but needed to be hospitalized for three
months and stayed in comma.
She survived and three months laker she woke up. There wasn’t any
news of her brother, just text messages with a lot of typos, and
pictures of a dark forest, with gigantic trees. She began to
search for him until she find him in a parallel world being held
by Butoni.
