Course Objectives:
This course provides students with a clear understanding of accounting concepts and focuses
on the development, analysis, and use of accounting reports. It provides an understanding of
what these reports contain, what assumptions and concepts accountants use to prepare them,
how to measure, present, and disclose assets, liabilities and owners’ equity in accordance with
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It also covers basic principles of financial
and accounting analysis.
