On my birthday, I was on a trip that included Tirupati, Tiruttani, Vellore and
Tiruvannamalai. Now I’m leaving from Tiruttani for commuting to Vellore. There is a
“golden” temple in Vellore exactly know as Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple. After
1 or 2 hours I had entered Vellore. I had seen visuals of beautiful hills and birds. The hills
were wearing blankets of fog. I wasn’t able to see the peak of the hills as fog covered
them. While we are travelling, we started
looking restaurants because it was lunch
time. Then we caught a vegetarian
restaurant. It was owned by the same person
who built the temple we were going to. As
we were pure vegetarians, we stopped there
and ate lunch. It was a good restaurant. Then
we continued travelling to Vellore. The
temple was only a twenty to thirty minutes
away. Finally I had arrived to the temple.
The entry was painted with pastel colours
and it was magnificent. The area where the
temple is situated in Vellore is called
Sripuram. It was built by a Hindu spiritual
leader called Sakthi Amma.
After buying tickets for a guide, we started
moving inside the temple. If you see this
temple in satellite map it looks like a 6
pointed star and there is an oval core of it.
The golden temple is at that oval core of the 6 pointed star.
We had gone round around that temple in that 6 pointed star corridor. The guide was an
old but strong man called Murugan. He was so strong that he had taken us around that
huge temple while we were so tired. He was explaining the story of the founder (Sakthi
Amma) and about the architecture of the temple. Then we had seen the golden temple
which was shining like a star. There was a beautiful and magnificent statue of Goddess
Sri Lakshmi Narayani Devi. Then we had seen another small temple which is included in
this temple. It was of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swami. Then I left the Temple with the
Prasadam and satisfaction. Because, we had thought of coming to golden temple from
years, but not succeeded in it till now. I was filled with Happiness on my Birthday.
