WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY?
Technology is the set of techniques, knowledge and skills that humans have
developed with the aim of satisfying human needs, solving problems efficiently
and improving the quality of the life people with the innovative contributions that
technology drives in various areas of the society.
WHY IS TECNOLOGY IMPORTANT?
Technology is a fundamental element in today's world for various reasons, since
it influences almost all aspects of modern life. I will give you 4 main reasons:
-Firstly, it allows access to education, because it provides information and
educational resources through online platforms to improve student learning.
-Secondly, it facilitates communication with tools such as the Internet, mobile
phones and social networks that have revolutionized the way people
communicate, allowing instant connections on a global level.
-Thirdly, it promotes scientific research, due to its significant advances in
various scientific fields such as medicine, engineering or ecology.
-The last is that it strengthens the economy because it creates new jobs and
markets, encourages entrepreneurship, and contributes to global economic
growth.
TECHNOLOGY HISTORY
The history of technology is the development over time of systematic techniques
for making things and making human life easier. The term "technology" comes
from the Greek "technē" (art, craft) and "logos" (word, speech). In the 17th
century, when the term appeared in English, it referred to the applied arts. In the
early 20th century, its meaning expanded to include means, processes, ideas,
tools, and machines. Later, in the mid-20th century, technology was defined as
"the means or activity by which man seeks to change or manipulate his
environment." These definitions show the evolution of the concept of technology
that is reflected in the significant expansion of its scope and application in each
era, as well as its development driven by the need to adapt and improve its
environment.
HOW WAS OUR WORLD WITHOUT TECHNOLOGY?
A world without technology would be radically different from the one we know
today, since a world without technology people's ability to communicate, travel,
access education, have healthcare or enjoy a variety of forms of entertainment
and conveniences would be severely restricted. Because technology has been a
key driver in human development, improving the quality of life and facilitating
progress in countless areas. In conclusion, everyday life would be more difficult
and less globally connected, with fewer opportunities for development and
scientific advancement.
