Create and identify compound words Integration: (Values/ Health Education/ Peace Education / GMRC) Respect Importance of friendship Facilitation Strategy/ Learning Procedure: Components Duration Activities and Procedures Introduction and Warmup 10 minutes EMOTICON BINGO 1. The teacher will give each pupils bingo cards. 2. Each bingo cards have different emoticons printed on it. 3. The teacher will pick a paper inside a box with a corresponding emoticon. 4. If they have that emoticon in their card, they will color or highlight it. 5. The first one who can fill all the emoticons in their card wins. Concept Exploration 60 minutes ROLE- PLAY 1. The pupils will be grouped into 4 2. Each group will be given 5 minutes and each member will pick a scenario and act it out to his/her group. 3. The members of the group will guess the mood or tone of the scenarios being role played by their member. 4. The group with the most number of correct guest will be the winner. FIND YOUR OTHER HALF 1. Each pupil will be given a word printer on a paper. 2. They will tape it on their chest. 3. Once the teacher will say the words “Find your other half” they will look for the word that matches the m to create a compound word. Valuing/Wrap-up 40 minutes Reflective Journal 30 minutes Peer and CLASS SHARING: The pupils will pair themselves with their friends. With their friends, they will write a paragraph or story on how they met and how keep their friendship strong. After writing, they will share it to the class so that they will be inspired with their story. SOCRATIC CIRCLE DISCUSSION: Let the class form a circle and engage in a reflective discussion about the day's topic. Each student should share one question, or express a personal connection to the problem. Encourage active listening and thoughtful responses.
