I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for
the enriching experience I gained during my On-the-Job Training in the
faculty office. This journey has been a transformative one, and I am
deeply thankful for the support and guidance I received throughout.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Sir Adrienne
Victoriano V. Sabug, my dedicated Career and Placement Coordinator
as well as my Adviser, whose mentorship and encouragement played a
pivotal role in shaping my talents and skills.
I am also indebted to the entire faculty team for fostering a
positive learning environment. Their openness to questions, willingness
to share knowledge, and collaborative spirit have made this experience
truly rewarding.
Special thanks to the Dean of the College of Technology, Dr.
Lillian J. Farparan who welcomed and accepted me as trainee in her
office. I am very thankful for the memories and learnings that I
absorbed from the faculty office where I had my OJT. Thank you so
much.
Last but not least, I am grateful to University of Antique for
providing me with this valuable opportunity for hands-on learning. The
OJT experience has not only reinforced my academic knowledge but has
also equipped me with practical skills that will undoubtedly benefit me
in my future endeavors.

1. To inculcate desirable values and work ethics to enhance social and
moral capabilities of an individual to become productive members of
society.
2. To produce competent food service technology graduates.
3. To provide technically / technological knowledge to analyze job
problems, determine solutions and perform problem solving tasks.

Leading University in Science and Technology by 2022
MISSION
The University shall provide quality, relevant, and responsive
scientific technological and professional education and advanced
training in different areas of specialization, and shall undertake
research and extension services in support to socio-economic
development of Antique, the Filipino nation, and the global community.
GOALS
To elevate the university into national and international
distinction, it shall endeavour to:
Deliver quality instruction of international standards;
Implement innovative and research development system;
Undertake responsive and collaborative means for technological
transfer;
Develop viable and sustainable resource generating strategies; and
Establish effective, efficient, and supportive administration.
OBJECTIVES
The University should be able to:
1. Ensure that at least 30% of the faculty members are doctorate degree
holders and the rest are master’s degree holders in their respective
fields of specialization by 2022 in line with its vision and upgrade

5. Publish researches in national and international refereed journals;
6. Strengthen national and international linkages with public and private
institutions;
7. Formulate and implement investment plans for financial sustainability;
8. Collaborate with funding agencies for resource generation;
9. Conduct periodic management review for quality delivery of service to
the stakeholders.

NARRATIVE REPORT
INTRODUCTION
Embarking on the journey of On-the-Job Training (OJT) signifies
a crucial juncture where theoretical knowledge meets the practical
nuances of a professional environment. OJT is more than just a
learning experience; it is a dynamic bridge connecting academic
insights to the intricacies of real-world applications. We delve into the
importance of On-the-Job Training, recognizing it as a transformative
phase that propels individuals towards a comprehensive understanding
of their chosen field and equips them with the practical skills necessary
for success.
This experience promises to be not only a hands-on exploration
of my chosen field but also a transformative period where I can apply
classroom learning to real-world scenarios.

C. Problems Encountered and their Solutions
My On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the faculty office presented a
spectrum of challenges that contributed significantly to my professional
and personal growth. From communication barriers and time
management struggles to technical issues and handling student
concerns, each challenge became a valuable lesson in adaptability,

problem-solving, and effective communication. Navigating changes in
the office structure, event coordination complexities, and team
collaboration issues underscored the importance of flexibility and
interpersonal skills. Professional etiquette dilemmas, data management
challenges, and unclear expectations added layers of complexity,
requiring precision, effective communication, and clarification-seeking.
Managing pressure during busy periods and addressing networking
challenges emphasized resilience, organizational skills, and proactive
networking efforts. Despite these challenges, the OJT experience has
become a transformative journey, shaping me into a more adept and
capable professional, ready to navigate the complexities of a dynamic
work environment.
D. MAJOR LEARNINGS
During my On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the faculty office, I
gained valuable insights into diverse administrative procedures, honed
effective communication skills through interactions with faculty and
staff, and developed adept time management abilities to balance
multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Engaging in event coordination and
meticulous
record-keeping
enhanced
my
organizational
skills.
Collaborating with diverse teams emphasized the importance of
teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Taking
ownership of tasks, setting personal goals, and efficiently managing my
workload contributed to self-management skills developed during my

REFLECTIONS
My On-the-Job Training (OJT) in the faculty office has been a
transformative experience, providing practical insights and personal
growth. From administrative tasks to event coordination, effective
communication, and time management, the OJT exposed me to
various facets of a dynamic academic environment. Collaboration
within diverse teams enhanced my understanding of teamwork, while
adaptability became a key skill in navigating unforeseen challenges.
Professionalism, problem-solving, and networking unfolded as
essential aspects, contributing to a holistic view of the workplace.
Gaining insights into academic processes and refining critical thinking
skills deepened my understanding of the educational system. Selfmanagement skills, including goal-setting and workload management,
showcased personal growth. In conclusion, this OJT journey has not
only equipped me with practical skills but has also enriched my
perspective on professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability, laying a
foundation for future success.
