Problem Description Details
Stand reboots during fluoro
Problem Cause
The system demands a lot of power during fluoro. Sometimes the voltage drops too much, this causes the Midas board to restart.
Problem Solution
Check the Stand power supply.
The Stand has a builtin power supply. This power supply delivers power to the Midas board. The Midas board will restart when the voltage gets too low.
This power supply delivers:
Output 1 => 24 Volt
Output 2 => 5 Volt
Output 3 => 15 Volt
Output 4 => 15 Volt
Note: there is a resistor on Output. This resistor acts as a current limiter, and is required.
Check the following:
1. Check the input voltage of the power supply, are the wires connected correctly?
2. Check that the air flow is sufficient and not blocked. Ensure that the air inlet and outlet are dust free.
3. Check that the sense wire is connected correctly (between pins 1 and 2) See drawing below.
A. Measure the voltage on the sense wire. This voltage should not drop more than 0.5 Volt of Output 1 (+24 Volt).
B. If the sense voltage is too low check the connections.
You can also adjust the voltages on the output 2,3 and 4.
