Level Switches Logic of connection
Level Switches Low-Low are connected as below picture, where the sensor is downside.
In normal condition, when the level is normal the contacts are closed signal goes to the DCS and shows
green indication. When the level drops and the contact breaks there is no signal and DCS shows red
indication.
Normal Level,
CONTACTS CLOSED
Low Level
CONTACTS OPEN
Level Switches High-High are connected as below picture, where the sensor is above.
Reverse is the case for Level Switch High-High. When the level is normal it’s contacts are closed and
there is continuous signal going to the DCS and showing green indication on DCS. When level increases,
the contacts break, and the signal breaks and red indication is shown on DCS.
