Pandas are truly one of the most adorable animals in the world, but have you ever wondered if grizzly,
ice bear, panda… belong to the same kind? Are pandas also bears?
The answer is YES. But how are they similar or different?
Panda and specific bear has common characteristics can be observed: They have a large body with thick
fur, strong legs, a long snout, paws with strong nails, a short tail, and small eyes. They’re all mammalian

How are pandas different from bears?
First, it’s appearance. It’s one of the most distinctive features that make panda stand out among the
rest. While most of the bears are single-colored or have fading shades from their original color, pandas
are not. Pandas have vibrant black and white colors. As an addition, they have heads bigger than bodies,
unlike the other bears.
Second is appetite: Bears are carnivorous, which means they feed on meat. That’s the reason why they
often advise people to stay away from them. But pandas are different because they mainly eat bamboo.
Last, its natural habitat. Panda don't build dens or hibernate like other bears. They live in bamboo
forests in the mountains, if it’s too cold up in the mountains, they head down to the valleys where it is
warmer.
