Humanism idea is that a human being is a whole person
who not only has physical and cognition but also has
feelings and emotions.
●
Humanism focuses on the affective and self actualization.
●
In learning activity, the receiver is first as a human being,
then as a learner and focus on what the students develop
not what the students learn.

that humans are driven by their
feelings more than rewards and
punishments.

Learners are naturally good and will
make good decisions when all their
needs are met.

Carl Rogers

According to Rogers(1969), human beings have a natural ability for learning, but this
happen when the subject matter is related to the personal relevance to the learners and
when it involves active participation of the learners.

Human beings need a non threatening environment to become fully functioning person,
and learners also need the same.
