artificial fibers (yarn or thread). Yarn is
produced by spinning raw fibers
of wool, flax, cotton, hemp, or other
materials to produce long
strands. Textiles are formed
by weaving, knitting, crocheting, knottin
g or tatting, felting, or braiding.
