What is food waste?
Food waste is when perfectly good food gets thrown
away instead of being eaten. It happens for different
reasons, like buying too much food and not using it
before it goes bad, or restaurants and stores throwing
away unsold food. Food waste is a big problem
because it wastes resources like water, energy, and
land, and it contributes to environmental issues like
greenhouse gas emissions.
