Welcoming Message
Welcome to the Graduate School of Kwangwoon University, one of the renowned Graduate Schools in Korea.
During the time of darkness, when our nation was under Japanese colonization, Chosun Radio School was
established in 1934 by Dr. Kwangwoon Cho, the pioneer who has foreseen the upcoming electronics
engineering-based technologies; proudly, Kwangwoon University has developed to inherit its legacy. Today,
Kwangwoon University has grown to become a “smaller but stronger” college, leading the fourth industrial
revolution which roots from convergence of information and communication technologies.
Kwangwoon Graduate School was established under its founding spirit of diligence, thrift, and exploration to
study knowledge and to educate professionals holistically, following the criteria of successful individuals in
information age. Starting with 36 students in 1979, now about 700 students including international students
from many parts of the world are devoting their selves on work, day and night, to realize their academic
visions and achieve professional goals.
In 33 department of Kwangwoon Graduate School, master’s, doctoral, and master-doctoral integrated courses
are open to foster creative and outstanding talents. Also, we are proud to mention that our “smaller but
stronger” faculty members has not only been supplying high-quality human resources to the society, but also
has not missed high rankings in major domestic research indicators owing to their consistent effort. In
accordance with the high performances of the students and faculty members, Kwangwoon Graduate School has

5. Notes for applicants
※ All certificates must be submitted within the last 3 months from the date of submission, and the original must be
submitted.
※ Documents must be submitted by mail or in person, and if the submitted documents do not arrive by the specified date,
they will be excluded from evaluation.
※ It is not possible to individually check whether mail has arrived or not.
※ If it is proven that accepted documents have been forgotten or any applicant otherwise illegally obtained admission,
admission will be revoked even if the applicant is attending the university.
※ The submitted documents and application fee via the online application system cannot be canceled, changed or returned.
※ Documents in language other than Korea, are required to be notarized and translate into Korean or English before submission.
※ In addition to the above submitted documents, additional documents may be requested.
※ The applicants who are scheduled to graduate or are scheduled to complete the previous educational process, provided
that the applicant passes the admission, must submit a certificate of graduation to the office of the international
exchange team of this school by February 23 (Fri), 2024.

6. About Apostille and Notarization
※ Related to the final academic achievement certificate, Diploma (university, or expected graduation certificate) and
Notarized Certificate of Diploma, and the Transcripts for university or college.
- Foreigners with nationality other than China : Submit the graduation certificate with the <Apostille Confirmation> issued
by the government agency of the relevant country or submit the <Consular Confirmation> or <Overseas Educational
Institution Confirmation> at the Korean consulate located in the relevant country.
- Chinese nationality : Submision of Graduation certificate <certificate> or <consular confirmation>.
