attract customers

C. Procedure:
* Lead-in: Task 1 (10 mins)
- https://padlet.com/ will be used to have students note down the factors contributing to an
enjoyable travel experience (means of transport, accommodation, activities, sceneries…)
at (https://bom.to/uObdp)
- We will ask Ss to negotiate in pairs to give the order of the factors (most important, more

important according to them.
- Teacher can join in the sharing with the whole class.
* Pre-speaking:

customers to buy their travel package (description of the place, activities included in the tour
package, estimated price, special offers). Remind Ss to consider the discussed factors

(In this activity, students will have a chance to do collaborative learning, contribute ideas to

APPENDIX 3:
The Cham Islands (Cù lao Chàm), a world Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO, are
located in Quảng Nam province.
Cu Lao Cham Islands' ancient landscape offers many sand beaches, forested hills and the sea.
The rich aquatic resources of the islands consist coral, seaweeds and tiger shrimps. Some of
these species are listed in the World's Red Book of Endangered Species. Medicinal plants have
also been inventoried on the islands.
Facilities for camping, swimming and scuba diving are available. The corals and marine life are
an attraction in these island waters
The traditional resources of the Cham people of the islands comprise rice farming, fishing,
trading in pepper and wood with neighbouring countries, accessed through the port of Hoi An.
The islands are known for the Salanganes swallows, which are in demand as a delicacy, favoured
by the rich and famous.
Sapa, the main market town in Lào Cai Province in north-west Vietnam, is where several ethnic
minority groups such as Hmong, Dao, Giáy, and Tay live.
The Hoàng Liên range of mountains dominates the district, which are home to a rich variety of
plants, birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and insects. For this reason, the Hoàng Liên Nature
Reserve was made a National Park. This range includes Vietnam's highest mountain, Fan Si Pan
The scenery of the SaPa region reflects the relationship between the minority people and nature.
This is seen especially in the paddy fields carpeting the rolling lower slopes of the Hoàng Liên
Mountains.
On a clear day, the imposing peak of Fan Si Pan comes into view. The last major peak in the
Himalayan chain, Fan Si Pan offers a real challenge to even the keenest walker, the opportunity
of staggering views, and a rare glimpse of some of the last remaining primary rain forest in
Vietnam.
Con Dao islands , which is located in Bà Rịa–Vũng Tàu Province, served as a prison island for
political prisoners during the French colonial era and in later years the Saigon regime imprisoned
opponents of the regime in the cells known as the "tiger cages". The old prison buildings are
open to the public as a small museum.
Besides having an interesting history, Con Dao is also an island of immense natural beauty with
forested hills and many undocumented species of wildlife, deserted sandy beaches and extensive
coral reefs making for some excellent diving.
Con Dao has the best diving and snorkeling in Vietnam. The coral is relatively untouched and
very impressive, with giant coral heads. The marine life includes turtles, rays, cuttlefish, as well
as tropical reef fish. Water clarity ranges from 10M to 20M
There is a good fruit and vegetable market in Con Son town. Prices are cheap and the locals don't
seem to overcharge foreign buyers.
Dining options are becoming more plentiful on Con Dao. Western food has arrived
For lunchtime, you can also find some local restaurants that serve good noodle soups.
Most of the larger hotels have restaurants attached to them. Decent food is available at most
hotels
