Night overlooking NH 748
It was past mid night
Rather early morning,
Before I go to bed, and
Stop burning mid-night oil……..
Just looking through a big window
At a vast canvass of night spread,
As just closed all the books
To see what not seen before………
Now, without words and shapes
Usually communicating something,
Was trying to see and read in the dark
What is not written at all, by anybody…….
When the night has fallen before
A n d s h a d e s g o t e l o n g a te d ,

The distant dark mountains
Were felt like lazy monoliths…….
The trees on the mountain
Had gone in deep slumber,
A nd s k y had no c hoi c e
With still darker night……..
Few lights were twinkling
At long there on street sides,
Buses and cars, were
Slowly moving lazily……
City was also in deep sleep
When I was still awake, somehow,
Some say learned people are awake,
When the whole world goes to bed………..

Jokes part, it’s an experience to
Look at city engulfed in dark,
In intermittent flashing lights
Of moving motor cars one by one……….
There were on mountains
Few lights winking to each other,
Merrily, as if two lovers
Were engaged in unregulated fun……..
I felt like a desolate hermit
Meditating on truth, unearthed,
Focused on decoding the
Secret of life, search the ultimate……..
I g o t th a t a b s o l u t e e n v i a b l e
P e ac e , p e a c e a n d p e a c e ,
To peep into myself
Unhindered, within……….

Fluttering of leaves along
Made twinkling funny,
Like a dreamy dance
Of damsel on happiness spree………
Sky was clear with starry
Galaxies afloat abundantly,
Sprinkling awestruck wonder
Star-studded night-walk of beauties……
An airplane roared over
Flying low over me above,
And wailing ambulance
Rushed flashing blue lights…….
Dogs were barking stupidly
In some remote corner,
And a policeman on night-duty
Blowing whistle louder to deter…….
