A day without the internet -Aanya Singhal These days the Internet has become a very significant part of our day-to-day lives. But the Internet wasn’t always co-existing with the world. There was a time when we didn’t have this privilege. When we couldn’t just google the answer to a question we didn’t understand or watch videos on YouTube and play songs on Spotify. Its hard to imagine life without it now, isn’t it? But at that time no one felt the need of this ‘Global connection’. Only as we started to modernize more and more, we felt this need and invented it eventually. Now, as we started using this, we became very dependent on it. Our personal, social and work life become totally reliant on it. Therefore, it became a prominent source of entertainment, information and much more. These days we have become so accustomed to the internet, that we can’t even start our day without it. All our mails, messages, sources of entertainment etc., all rely on this. But what if we have to live one day without it? What would we do? If I had to live a day without the internet, I would probably spend my day sketching, painting and doing art. I could read books and magazines and also cook and bake. This would pass most of my day. Also, I could try out different sports like badminton, basketball, soccer, table tennis etc. I could also play board games to pass my time and dance and go out with my friends too. I believe that taking a break from the online world would be healthy for us and we could try using the internet only if it were absolutely necessary.
