Buffalo Grass
The buffalo grass is a low growing plant which commonly grows from 20 cm to 25 cm. It is a
perennial grass. Each leave blade can grow up to 25-30 cm then fall over which gives it a
short appearance.
Dallis Grass
The dallis grass is a plant that grows from 30 cm to 150 cm. The plant grows from the
prostate with erect tips to totally erect. It has a tinged red inflated and hairy base. The plant
is also known to have a flattened leaf sheath.
Bermuda Grass
The Bermuda grass is known for its smooth leaf sheaths and collars. It is a dark green grass
that is low growing via rhizomes and stolons.
Crowfoot Grass
This grass is usually found in cultivated fields, disturbed sites and road sides. The grass
sheaths are smooth along with the leaves. The grass also has long stiff hairs.
Six weeks Threeawn Grass
The six weeks threeawn grass is mostly found in disturbed and waste areas. This grass has
the potential to be a weed. The shape and size of the grass is determined by its
environmental conditions. The grass grows to the heights of 5 cm to 80 cm.
Nut grass
The nut grass has erect stems. It has in cross section while it also does not consists of
branches. It has glossy light to dark green leaves and can grow up to 20 cm in length.

This grass has straight leaf blades which grow from 2 cm to 12 cm. It also has has a grayish
green triangular shaped panicle type seahead. The leaves are pale to dark green.

This grass has plumes of hairy pink flowers that turn pale as they mature. This grass is
mostly found on road sides.
Candy Grass
The candy grass is a grass that can grow from 41 cm to 51 cm long and is also considered a
weed. The grass has a strong smell and grows mostly in disturbed areas and gardens.
Spiked Bur Grass
The spiked bur grass is mostly found in disturbed areas such as roadsides. It is a native
perennial bunchgrass. The grass has erect culms and grow from 35cm to 120 cm in height.
