Checklist for scientific diagrams
Table 1: The criteria for drawing a good scientific diagram.

Description
The diagram has a descriptive title.
The diagram shows the setup of the apparatus correctly.
The apparatus are drawn correctly as required for scientific
diagrams. They are drawn two dimensional and are shown as a cut
through image.
The apparatus are drawn in correct proportion to each other.
The diagram is done with a sharp pencil.
The diagram is done with a ruler whenever possible.
Lines on the diagram meat correctly.
The diagram is an appropriate size.
Labels are along side the left or right side of the diagram.
(Not in the diagram)
Lines for the labels are done with a ruler and are lines not arrows.
The lines and labels are done in pencil.
The labels are parallel.
Apparatus is labeled correctly.
All spelling is correct (including labels).
The diagram does not contain any shading or unnecessary details
like the measurement lines on the beaker.
Mistakes have been erased so that they are no longer visible.
