ME-AB-006-PM REV. 01 TITLE/TAG SERVICE AXIAL FAN UNIT EQUIPMENT TYPE AXIAL FAN UNIT (CONTROLLABLE PITCH) INTERVAL 1 YEARLY DATE: 17-04-01 PRECAUTIONS Note: Tick boxes to indicate completion. 1. Obtain an approved Work Permit before commencing activities. PREPARATION/ISOLATION 2. Check that the equipment tags are as detailed on work order sheet/work permit. 3. Check ‘Electrical Isolations’ section of work permit has been signed and verify that equipment is isolated. MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY 4. Check security of blade adjustment control arm. CAUTION: TO PREVENT MOTOR OVERLOAD, DO NOT OPERATE UNIT IF BLADE ANGLE EXCEEDS MAXIMUM ANGLE STATED ON UNIT CASING. 5. Drain flush and refill the sleeve bearing. 6. Refill bearing with 33cm Petromin Molly/NLGI #2 grease. 3 7. Check condition and security of guard screen. 8. Check security of supports and fixing devices. 9. Request reinstatement of power for test run purposes and check unit operates correctly. 10. Check for abnormal noise or excessive vibration. 11. Carry out vibration checks with hand held analyser and compare with previous readings. 12. Sign off the Work Permit. NOTE: Refer to Vendor Work Instructions of vibration limitations (Vibration Severity Chart) for Model D47 axial fans. REPAIR WORK 13. Is repair work or corrective action required? YES NO 14.
