DESIGN PROBLEM:
Design an axial fan with following specification for air handling unit.
Q = [0.2×R + 8] m3/s
H = [10 + 0.1×R] m
Where, R is your class roll number {1, 2, 3, ….. , 20}
Rotational Speed = 1200 RPM
Assume any missing data.
Objectives:
Calculate the geometry of axial fan (size of nozzle, no of blades, aspect ratio and solidity). Use CAD
software to show the design drawing.
Draw a velocity triangle of the fan.
Also draw performance chart (H vs Q)
State all the assumptions made.
